Sophia Loren Exhibition in Sorrento

From July 1 to October 15, 2026, Villa Fiorentino hosts “Sophia Loren. A Neapolitan Icon”, a photographic exhibition dedicated to one of the most beloved and iconic actresses in Italian cinema. Organized by the Fondazione Sorrento, the exhibition takes visitors on a journey through photographs that tell the story of Sophia Loren’s career, private life, and special connection with Campania. A dedicated section also celebrates the famous film Pane, amore e…, internationally released as Scandal in Sorrento.

The exhibition “Sophia Loren. A Neapolitan Icon” offers a journey through more than seventy years of the actress’s career, featuring a selection of photographs from film sets, international events, and private moments.
The images showcase Sophia Loren’s talent, charm, and personality, portraying both the woman and the screen icon who captivated audiences around the world. The exhibition allows visitors to relive some of the most significant moments of her career, from her early beginnings to her recognition as one of the greatest actresses in the history of cinema.
One of the exhibition’s most significant sections is dedicated to the 1955 film Pane, amore e…, released internationally as Scandal in Sorrento. The film transformed Sorrento into an extraordinary cinematic set and remains one of the strongest connections between the city and Sophia Loren.
