Pasqua secondo Dante

Fondazione Sorrento is pleased to host a cultural event that is part of the “On the Way for Peace” review, an initiative promoted by Mariana Gargiulo.

After the exciting visit to the exhibition “VENERDรŒ SANTO: SACCO, CILICIO E SCAPOLAREย genesi di un movimento penitenziale” curated by Massimo Fiorentino, the students of the “G. Salvemini” High School have the opportunity to dive even deeper into the world of literature through the immortal verses of Dante Alighieri.

The event will feature a reading of Canto I of Purgatorio, by Marco Palmieri. Dante’s poetry will come to life through his words, transporting the audience on a spiritual journey through Purgatory.

Following this, we will have the privilege of listening to the reflections of Don Enzo Meglio, pastor of the Parish of St. Mary of Casarlano.
