Chiamata alle Arti: Exhibition in Villa Fiorentino

October 23 @ October 23 - November 8 @ November 8

Villa Fiorentino hosts “Chiamata alle Arti – Segni vivi di una comunità in movimento” (Call to the Arts – Living Signs of a Community in Motion), an exhibition running from October 23 to November 8, 2026, dedicated to five artists and their individual expressive explorations. The exhibition brings together the works and artistic journeys of Franco Cuomo, Carla De Gregorio, Francesca De Rosa, Juliana Moura, and Giulia Persico, offering the public an opportunity to engage with diverse artistic languages.

The group exhibition running from October 23 to November 8

The exhibition presents a collection of visions spanning painting, abstraction, and reflections on identity. The works convey diverse sensibilities, united by a desire to explore what lies beyond the visible surface.

The artistic practice of Franco Cuomo—a philosopher and writer—has evolved through extensive experience in painting, engaging in a dialogue with art history and drawing inspiration from mythology, fashion, psychedelia, and Indian painting.

Carla De Gregorio uses color to articulate the artist’s deepest dimensions, creating an expressive journey that transcends time and immediate perception.

In the works of Francesca De Rosa, the focus lies on the psyche, time, and nature, utilizing imagery and symbols to connect landscape, personal experience, and inner states.

Juliana Moura explores the interplay between matter, existence, the psyche, and spirituality through abstraction and mixed-media techniques. Shades of blue, materiality, and gold become elements of an artistic vision that seeks to make the immaterial visible.

The work of Giulia Persico—who signs her pieces as Julsip—centers on the soul and the possibility of transcending the physical boundaries of the body. Shapes and lines serve as tools to express the movement and tension of the inner realm.
