Araprite ‘e Purtune: Living Nativity Scene 2025 – The itinerary in the historic center of Sorrento
December 28 @ 8:00 am - December 30 @ 5:00 pm

With “Araprite ‘e purtune, ce sta O’ presepio” the living nativity scene returns to Sorrento, which proposes a new cultural project that enhances the Neapolitan tradition of the eighteenth century through a journey through the ancient doors of the historic center, from 28 to 30 December.
Araprite ‘e Purtune: the living nativity scene in Sorrento
The 2025 edition represents a significant evolution: the nativity scene leaves its usual location, the gardens of the Vescovato, to dialogue directly with the city, returning to the public the narrative and symbolic power of one of the most representative artistic expressions of Campania culture. The project invites citizens and visitors to rediscover the artistic and spiritual dimension of the Nativity through an itinerary that combines history, architectural heritage and tradition, contributing to the valorization of the territory.
Route and information
The official route will soon be announced, with all the doors that will participate in this initiative, starting from Piazza Tasso, passing through the historic alleys of Sorrento.
The cultural project “Araprite ‘e Purtune” will be inaugurated on December 28th, until December 30th, from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.
