Villa Fiorentino will host in its rooms the exhibition “ Edgardo Curcio – A protagonist
of the Viennese Secession in Naples”.
Teh exhibition, open from March 25 to Sunday May 28, is curated by the Prof Maria
Antonietta Picone Petrusa, one of the greatest expert of the Neapolitan artist.
For the first time, after a hundred years, a decidely modern painter for his times is
celebrated with a large and comprehensive retrospective.
The exhibition, in fact, offers the public a selection of more than 50 works, chosen
among the most representative, in order to show the influence of the Secessionism
and Post-Impressionism on Curcio.
The exhibition in Villa Fiorentino was born from the synergy between Sorrento
Foundation and Tasso Cultural Institute and is intended as a tribute to an eclectic
and brilliant artist.
