DESCRIPTION:From 9 to 12 April 2026\, the Sorrento Peninsula hosts the first edition of the Sorrento Coast Science Festival\, an event dedicated to scientific dissemination that involves institutions\, experts and the public in a program full of meetings\, shows and activities. \nPromoted by IANUAE cooperative of cultural services and by the SLAM association\, with the support of the municipalities of the peninsula and the Sorrento Foundation\, the festival was created with the aim of describing science in an accessible and engaging way. \nThe central theme of the 2026 edition is “Migrations”\, a concept that crosses nature\, society and culture\, interpreted as a vital force and fundamental principle of every system. \nSorrento Coast Science Festival 2026: complete program\nThe Sorrento Coast Science Festival transforms the Sorrento Peninsula into a large dissemination space\, involving symbolic places\, squares\, paths and cultural spaces. \nThrough a multidisciplinary program\, the festival offers: \n\nscientific conferences and talks\neducational laboratories\nexcursions in the area\nshows and performances\nactivities dedicated to schools\n\nA project that combines knowledge\, entertainment and active participation. \nGuests of the Sorrento Coast Science Festival 2026\nAmong the protagonists of the event are important popularizers and personalities from the national scientific scene: \n\nFederico Benuzzi\nBeatrice Mautino\nAlberto Grandi\nMassimo Di Maio\nGiuseppe Barbera\nUmberto Guidoni\nBarbascura X\n\nA line-up that guarantees high-level content\, accessible to a wide audience. \n9 April 2026: Opening of the Sorrento Coast Science Festival\nThe inaugural day marks the official start of the festival\, with the presentation of the theme “Migrations” and the protagonists of the 2026 edition. \nAn introductory moment designed to involve the public and kick off four days of events dedicated to science. \n10 April 2026: Conferences and educational activities\nThe second day will be mainly dedicated to meetings with disseminators and activities for schools. \nTalks\, workshops and moments of discussion will offer a scientific interpretation of the topic of migration\, involving students and citizens. \n11 April 2026: Excursions and workshops in the area\nThe festival also moves outdoors\, with excursions and activities in the area organized in collaboration with local bodies and associations. \nAn opportunity to closely observe natural phenomena and understand the concept of migration through direct experience. \nApril 12\, 2026: Final show with Barbascura\nThe final day culminates with the show “Sono qui per Caos”\, scheduled for 9pm. \nAn event that combines scientific dissemination and entertainment\, closing the festival with an engaging moment accessible to all. \n\n\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n			\n				\n			\n		\n\nScientific Laboratories from 9 to 12 April\nDuring the Sorrento Coast Science Festival\, scientific laboratories will take place every day\, where it will be possible to participate guided by experts in the various scientific subjects who will accompany participants in a direct experience to discover up close how “science is born“.
