From Saturday, February 1st, to Sunday, March 2nd, 2025, Villa Fiorentino in Sorrento will host a remarkable photographic exhibition by Antonino Di Maio, an engineer by profession and a photographer by passion.
A passion that, over time, has become a commitment: the exhibition is a series of shots that tell stories while leaving space for the observer’s imagination.
Who are the people captured in their ordinary moments? Where are they hurrying to? Where are they coming from?
Thanks to his unique point of view—a window overlooking Piazza Tasso—Antonino Di Maio captivates with the delicacy with which he portrays the extraordinary within the ordinary.
“La Finestra del tempo possibile” (The Window of Possible Time), curated by Giovanni Fiorentino, showcases snapshots of passersby, ceremonies and processions, events, the bustling activity of the summer months, and the almost surreal stillness of the post-Christmas period.
“With this photographic exhibition, Antonino Di Maio invites us to discover our city from a different and truly original perspective,” comments CEO Mario Gargiulo.
“We are constantly caught up in the daily routine—that endless and relentless rhythm that keeps us from pausing to observe the world passing by. The photographs on display at Villa Fiorentino capture the moment: the exact instant of an event, the passing of a housewife returning from her shopping, or a tourist departing with their suitcase. These images encourage reflection on the inexorable passage of time and the memories it leaves within each of us.”
